Materials

• Hook: TMC5262
• Head: Silver tungsten bead
• Thread: Danville 70 denier wine
• Rib: Gold Ultra Wire, small
• Tail and legs: Pheasant Tail Fibers
• Abdomen and wing case: Veevus medium purple holo tinsel
• Thorax: Peacock Herl

Steps

1. Make a thread base back to the bend.
2. Tie in a few pheasant tail fibers as a tail, measured a bit less than the length of the shank.
3. Wrap back to the front, tying in the wire all the way to the back.
4. Tie in a small section of holo tinsel, wrap the thread 2/3rds of the way up.
5. Wrap tinsel around up to the thread.
6. Wrap a rib up to the thread.
7. Tie in both and cut close.
8. Tie in a piece of tinsel, then tie a few pheasant tail fibers backwards.
9. Tie in some peacock herl and wrap around the front.
10. Wrap the pheasant tail fibers over the herl, tie in and tie backwards to form legs.
11. Wrap the tinsel over to form a wing case.
12. Whip finish.
